M&A or Site Closures

You just acquired a new company. Will it remain a “stand alone” organization or will you be integrating the acquired company within your organization? How do you keep the employees you want? Which employees should you keep? Do you need to close sites?   • Let us manage the “people” side of your due diligence process, including pay, recruitment, I9s, NDAs, offer letters, contracts, health and wellness benefits, insurances, and 401K programs.

  • We can manage the integration process during an M&A, including overlap of positions (how do you determine who you keep?), benefits coverage, and identifying which programs/policies will follow you or be created within the new organization.

  • We help to develop severance agreements, stay bonuses, and design programs that treat exiting employees with respect.  We also work with local agencies to support transitioning employees through resume review, job placement opportunities, and interviewing skills (to name a few).

  • We will help identify areas of potential risk pre-acquisition and work with you to address issues before closing the deal.

  • Site closures can be tricky.  Let us ensure you are providing required notifications to employees, and that selection of exiting employees are reviewed so as to minimize risk of discrimination claims post closure. 

  • Whether it’s closing a site or acquiring a new one, we will work with you on your communication plans to your employees and customers.
